Blogging the Epistles

11.24.2010

With the holiday season (and a busy stretch at work) hitting just as we’re going through the epistles, I’m taking the opportunity to adjust the posting schedule around here just a tad.  I suspected all along that the epistles, being less narrative and more theologically meaty, would require more time and attention than this one-year reading plan can adequately supply.  So it’s been my plan to have as a future project a blog through the epistles.

This means that for the rest of this year, as I finish up this reading plan, I’m going to limit the posting on the epistles to one per, mainly as an overview or snapshot of what I find interesting.  I’ll still read them on the regular plan, but won’t post on a given book until that book is finished.  I’ll blog through Acts as the reading plan dictates.  So here’s the prospective plan for what that looks like (subject to change based on my schedule or my thematic judgment):

11.24 | Acts 19:21-20:6
11.29 | Romans
12.1 | 2 Corinthians
12.2 | Acts 20:7-21:36
12.3 | Acts 21:37-23:35
12.6 | Acts 24-28
12.8 | Ephesians
12.9 | Colossians
12.10 | Philemon
12.13 | Philippians
12.14 | James
12.15 | 1 Timothy
12.16 | Titus
12.17 | 2 Timothy
12.21 | Hebrews
12.22 | 1 Peter
12.23 | 2 Peter
12.26 | 1 John
